Engineering at StackAdapt: As a Senior Engineer at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks around GoLang, Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL and more. About the Planning Team:The Planning team is focused on building a data-driven planning experience that empowers users to forecast campaigns with precision, ensuring their plans align seamlessly with actual campaign outcomes. We power easier campaign planning with benchmarks, and political districts targeting.
Curious about our exciting projects? We've recently integrated map visualization for geographic targeting with advanced mapping solutions. This year, we're developing major new vertical-specific features, aligning with the company’s strategic focus. Moreover, riding with the wave of gen-AI, we are integrating Ivy with one of our tools to better support our products!
Looking ahead, we're also expanding our focus to support vertical strategies, providing users with more tailored guidance for advertising across specific industries. Additionally, we are investing in sales process automation through key integrations, aiming to simplify workflows and make planning even more efficient and seamless from start to finish.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in North America for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Play a key role in consistently advising the team on pragmatic technical approaches to problems that encourage engineering excellence and developer happiness
  • Structure coherent and iterative actionable plans toward delivering effective solutions across the planning surface
  • Plan ahead by strategically architecting scalable web APIs, component libraries and backend systems that serve the team roadmap goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Data Science, Product & Design and other senior engineers across the organization to identify and solve technical challenges that drive impact across teams
  • Advise teams on technical debt consolidation in ways that efficiently service our business needs
  • Mentor the team and lead by example to uphold software development best practices in addition to conducting rigorous code and tech spec reviews
  • Identify bottle-necks and general system-wide performance issues and offer actionable solutions to address them
  • Be a significant individual contributor and a key asset in delivering critical projects that ultimately bring value to our customers

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding UX
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement and iterate on high-impact end-to-end product experiences
  • Knowledge of our full-stack technologies is highly preferred - React, Typescript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails and Go
  • Extensive experience working with a test-driven approach to writing code with one or more of our core full-stack (or comparable) technologies
  • Experience working with relational databases and key-value storesExperience analyzing, benchmarking and optimizing web application performance across the entire stack
  • An appetite for unpacking complexity and simplifying it wherever possible
  • Experience working on large scale Ruby on Rails projects
  • Experience working with visualization libraries (graphs and maps) to render large data sets on a modern web application
  • Knowledge of AWS or other equivalent cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience in the AdTech industry is a plus
