Role: Platform Lead/Architect
Experience 10+ Years
We are seeking an experienced Platform DevOps Architect to design and implement scalable, resilient, and automated platform solutions that power our microservices and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and CI/CD automation, with a strong foundation in infrastructure design, system reliability, and DevOps best practices.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical leadership skills who can define architecture standards, drive DevOps best practices, and ensure robust infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Architect and evolve the core DevOps platform to support scalable microservices-based applications across multiple environments.
- Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure using AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
- Build and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines enabling automated builds, testing, and deployments across environments.
- Define Kubernetes standards and manage container orchestration platforms for high availability, resilience, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize deployment processes, improve developer productivity, and enforce operational excellence.
- Drive observability practices through the integration of monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk).
- Establish platform security, compliance, and governance standards aligned with organizational policies.
- Lead initiatives for cost optimization, infrastructure scalability, and performance tuning across cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to DevOps and platform engineering teams.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies to continuously evolve the platform architecture and DevOps ecosystem.
- Serve as backups for the SRE engineers in case of ad-hoc unavailability and respond to incidents and support activities.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, S3, EKS (Kubernetes), and Terraform.
- Proven experience with Terraform for implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in cloud environments.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, deployment, and scaling of microservices.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and best practices for cloud-native deployments.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Dynatrace).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong background in system design, performance optimization, and troubleshooting complex distributed systems.
- Experience managing Dev, UAT, and Production environments, including release management and deployment pipelines.
- Solid grasp of cloud security, access management, and best practices for vulnerability management.
- Agile and DevOps-friendly mindset, with a focus on collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
Good to Have:-
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of event-driven or serverless architectures leveraging AWS services like SNS, SQS, or EventBridge
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, cost optimization, and capacity planning in large-scale environments.
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL pipeline orchestration (e.g., AWS Glue, Airflow).
