Grades 9-12 Learning Support Teacher
Who We’re Looking For:
Laurel Springs School is seeking an experienced and innovative Learning Support Teacher for students in Grades 9-12 who can empower students to thrive in a dynamic online learning environment. This full-time, 12-month remote position serves students in grades 9-12, works in close collaboration with the Student Support Manager, LSS staff, and faculty, and reports to the Dean of Upper School. In this highly collaborative role, the 9-12 Learning Support Teacher provides individualized academic support to students enrolled in primarily asynchronous courses while also helping them develop essential executive functioning skills such as time management, organization, and self-advocacy. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students and guardians in a fully online environment that blends asynchronous learning with meaningful live interactions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Lead live 1:1 instruction
- Deliver timely, personalized feedback to ensure mastery and successful enrollment completion
- Develop individualized learning plans, progress monitoring plans, and instructional aids targeting specific student needs
- Contribute to a collaborative school community
- Support continuous program improvement through professional engagement and innovation
- Occasional evening availability and travel to in-person events

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s or beyond preferred in elementary or middle grades education
- Must have a background in Special Education or a valid Education Specialist Teaching Credential (Multi-Subject, Clear), or Teaching Certificate/License with an emphasis in Special Education
- English Learners Authorization strongly preferred
- Must have two years of full-time teaching experience or student teaching
- Active education certification and commitment to ongoing compliance with state and local regulations relating to background checks and credentials.
- Educators must be available during business hours (Eastern Time)
