Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Front-End Engineer (with React, Typescript skills & Full-Stack knowledge such as Python) to work with our cross-functional team and join our world-class community of talented experts in the exciting field of sports technology.

As a member of the team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our revolutionary online sports data and video delivery solutions, building applications such as:

• Enhanced Visual Overlay (EVO). EVO is a cloud-based broadcast graphics system. It runs over the top of video content with official game stats, automatically producing graphics to engage fans with insights on players, the team, action, or the entire game. EVO can be customized to incorporate team colors and club logos. It displays the official game clock, scores, game and player statistics, player photos, and can integrate with sponsor branding and messages.

• Embedded UI (EUI). EUI is a Highly configurable, multi-sport application to allow sporting leagues & clubs to embed their fixtures, game-results, and statistics into their own website. The embedded content can fully use the league's parent website for CSS styling and can (if configured) deep link into existing website pages.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Turn designs into working React applications

• Develop and provide solutions on JavaScript frameworks

• Develop high-traffic, flawless web applications using JavaScript

• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure consistency in architecture and design/code practice

• Code with performance, scalability, and usability in mind

• Implement applications with a solid intent to create functionality and usability with a complete adherence to our design / design principles.

• Work closely with next generation architecture development teams using innovative approaches and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with UI technologies (ReactJS, CSS/JS/TS, Redux, etc.)  HTML + CSS + JS (ES6/Typescript)

• Python and SQL experience (MySQL preferred)

• JavaScript unit testing frameworks & Frontend testing experience (cypress and/or selenium and alike)

• Experience with consuming APIs

• Experience working with AWS key services (for example: API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, Aurora, S3 & Caching)

• Some knowledge of basic sport concepts like scoring, assists, turnovers, offsides etc. and are willing to dive into the sport domain even deeper

• Creative and self-motivated engineer with excellent coding and design skills  

• You are always mindful of quality attributes like maintainability, performance, security, scalability, usability, and testability. As a result, you have successfully contributed to the architecture and UI/UX proposals and decisions.

• Adherence for frontend architecture and good practices (understanding of global state management of choice - routing, validation, data fetching)

• Good English communication skills

• You are a sport fan; any sport is fine as long as you are passionate about it :)

• Designing and writing API & payload structure from scratch

• Previous experience leading a team

• Some knowledge of usage of Vulnerability tooling (such as Mend & SonarQube)

• Advanced AWS skills in the above mentioned areas
