About the Role
We're looking for a Vice President of Engineering to become the driving force behind our global technical strategy and execution, leading our transformation to becoming a world-class engineering team. As our engineering executive leader, you'll architect the systems, teams, and culture that power our next phase of growth. You’ll lead a 70+ person technology organization focused on building fast, shipping with quality, and integrating AI into what we build and how we build it. You will be a central figure in keeping us innovative, resilient, and market-leading.
This is a mission-critical role with a clear mandate: elevate our engineering organization to world-class standards. You'll be the operational and strategic counterpart to the VP of Product, owning delivery excellence while co-creating the technical vision that will help us win in a market being transformed by AI. Strategic Leadership & Innovation
Define and drive the engineering strategy that translates our technical vision into market-winning execution
Champion innovation across the engineering organization, identifying new technical opportunities for business growth
Partner with the CTO and Engineering directors to shape long-term technical direction and architectural decisions
Build strong partnerships with Product, Design, and Go-to-Market leadership to identify opportunities and align on strategic priorities
Operational Excellence
Lead and scale our global engineering organization across product, platform, and infrastructure teams
Establish a culture of delivery excellence through clear vision, metrics, and accountability frameworks
Ensure industry-leading security, reliability, and scalability across our platforms
Drive engineering performance through data-driven insights on system health, team productivity, and delivery metrics
AI Transformation
Establish comprehensive AI literacy across engineering, ensuring every team capitalizes on AI tools and principles
Lead the integration of AI into our workflows, tooling, and decision-making processes
Measure and amplify AI-driven improvements in efficiency, innovation, and product capabilities
Position our engineering org at the forefront of responsible AI adoption
Leadership Development & Culture
Build world-class engineering management capacity through strategic hiring, coaching, and succession planning
Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that attracts and retains top talent globally
Develop leaders who thrive in a high-growth, AI-first, distributed environment
Champion engineering excellence while maintaining pragmatic, customer-focused decision-making
External Engagement
Represent engineering in customer escalations, partner discussions, and investor relations
Manage technical crisis situations with calm leadership, protecting company reputation
Build credibility at the executive and board level through clear communication of technical strategy and impact
Serve as a thought leader in the security and SaaS engineering community
What makes you a great fit:
Experience
10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with demonstrable success in multiple companies
Proven track record leading/scaling SaaS engineering organizations from ~50 to 200+ engineers
Deep expertise in B2B/enterprise software, distributed systems, and modern SaaS architectures
Experience leading through market disruptions and technical transformations
Strong background in building and leading globally distributed, hybrid teams
Leadership Profile
Executive presence with the ability to influence at C-level and board discussions
Balance of strategic vision and operational discipline
