Our journey began in 1991 when brothers Sreekanth Ravi and Sudhakar Ravi founded our company as Sonic Systems, initially focused on developing Ethernet and Fast Ethernet cards, hubs, and bridges for the Apple market. However, recognizing the burgeoning need for robust internet security, we pivoted in the late 1990s, launching our first security appliance. This marked a significant turning point, leading us to rebrand as SonicWALL, Inc. in 1999 and dedicate ourselves exclusively to network security. Our original mission was to provide companies with technology that is as affordable as it is effective, a principle that continues to guide us today.
