About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on building and enhancing a modern HR and Payroll platform.
You’ll play a key role in developing high-quality, scalable user interfaces using Angular, working closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver exceptional experiences to end users.
This is a long-term role for someone who’s highly proficient in modern front-end development, thrives on technical challenges, and wants to contribute to a well-structured, evolving enterprise application.
Responsibilities
- Front-End Development (80%) – Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive, high-performance features using Angular and related front-end technologies.
- Collaboration – Partner with Team Leads, Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow Engineers to translate user needs into reliable, scalable solutions.
- Quality Assurance – Identify, analyse, and resolve bugs during feature development and QA, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Code Quality & Maintenance – Maintain and upgrade existing features and UI components to improve reliability, accessibility, and performance at scale.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing – Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to peers through pair programming and code reviews.
- Technical Analysis – Conduct research and analysis on tools, frameworks, and front-end performance improvements to support informed decision-making.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with recent, hands-on experience using Angular (v10+ preferred).
- Proven track record building complex, component-based UIs for enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end design patterns.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and managing asynchronous data flows.
- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility best practices, and performance optimisation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive engineering culture.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in AWS environments or with cloud-based front-end hosting and deployment.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for front-end applications.
- Knowledge of UX principles and design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma).
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or supporting team-wide front-end initiatives.
