Payroll & GST Executive

What will you do?

• Servicing a portfolio of payroll and GST clients
• Preparation of the full payroll process including:
• Calculation of final salary payment for employee which include basic salary (monthly or per hour), leave encashment, expense claims reimbursements, prorated salaries and additional wages adjustment;
• Monthly download of GIRO bank file for clients under Suite plan and publish of pay slip;
• Submission of statutory requirement to government agencies (CPF, SDL, FWL);
• Preparation of annual IR8A Submission for Employee Individual Earnings via Auto Inclusion Scheme and manual IR8A forms;
• Tax clearance request and preparation for off boarded/resigned employees
• Attending to payroll queries from clients and labour authorities (MOM)
• Assisting in the GST returns filing process including:
• Monitoring of quarterly GST filing deadline for all GST-registered clients
• Assisting with GST pre-registration claims for newly GST registered clients
• Reviewing of GST F5 & F7 returns prepared by accountants in accordance with IRAS GST guidelines
• Filing of GST returns on IRAS mytaxportal
• Attending to GST queries from clients and tax authorities (IRAS)
• Perform other ad-hoc duties to support the GST & Payroll team when required
• Assisting the Payroll & GST manager or immediate supervisor on a project assignment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 2-3 years work experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with Singapore tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with accounting software such as Xero, Dext, and Hubspot is a plus
