We are seeking an experiencedSAP FICO Leadwith hands-on expertise inSAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM)or a strong background inConstruction Accounting. This role will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of finance and project systems within SAP to support enterprise-wide financial planning, project management, and operational efficiency.
This is a critical role interfacing with finance, operations, and project teams to ensure the SAP landscape supports both corporate financial objectives and project execution requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and support ofSAP FICOmodules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
- DriveSAP EPPM(or construction project accounting) processes related to budgeting, forecasting, WBS elements, and cost control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial systems with project and portfolio management processes.
- Configure and maintain integrations between SAP FICO and project systems (EPPM, PS, etc.).
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and write functional specifications.
- Lead blueprinting, gap analysis, and end-to-end process design.
- Perform system testing, UAT coordination, and user training.
- Provide post-go-live support and drive continuous process improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for finance and project-related SAP modules.
✅Required Skills & Experience:
- 8-10+ years of experience inSAP FICOimplementation and support.
- Proven leadership in at least 2 full-cycle implementationas SAP FICO Lead.
- Experience withSAP EPPM(Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management) OR solid knowledge ofConstruction Project Accounting.
- Expertise in core FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO (Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, Product Costing).
- Strong knowledge ofproject systems integrationwith FICO.
- Excellent business process knowledge inproject budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead workshops, write documentation, and guide technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- SAP Certification in FICO or Project Systems is a plus.
- Experience in theconstruction, engineering, or capital projectsindustry preferred.
- Familiarity withSAP PS (Project System)is a bonus.
Nice to Haves – Desired Education, Certifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Relevant certifications in change management, e.g., Prosci, ACMP
