Seneca Holdings is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Marketing and Communications (MarCom) who possesses exceptional visual storytelling and creative writing skills. This role is pivotal in driving a cohesive brand and crafting compelling internal communications aligned to our goals of connecting with the people, business, and Nation.

The VP of Marcom will be on the forefront of elevating our strategic messaging and branding objectives and converting them into practical, interconnected plans that deliver tangible outcomes. This role will develop a deep understanding of our businesses and capabilities and then shape our messaging for external communications and channels. The VP must collaborate closely with our business lines, support thought leadership, capability development, and the promotion of new business offerings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive integrated marketing and communications strategic planning efforts to deliver on cross-functional priorities, ensuring the brand’s presence is recognized across all channels.
  • Ensure that marketing and branding priorities set a clear long-term direction and align with the corporate strategy, effectively communicating these priorities across executive and senior leaders.
  • Develop a cohesive internal communications and marketing strategy to drive internal stakeholder engagement, fostering a connected workforce.
  • Serve as advisor and communications partner to C-suite and other leaders, leading executive communication efforts that inspire and align with our corporate vision.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and management of the organization's marketing and communications activities with consistent tone and branding.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders throughout the organization to develop, implement, manage, and measure impactful marketing strategies and communications.
  • Create engaging short-form content, including blogs, social media copy, and media materials that captivate and inform our audience.
  • Lead and manage media relations and project a positive company image to the public and ensure our brand is well-represented.
  • Strategically plan and coordinate marketing initiatives with third-party marketing support agencies to execute high-impact engagement and campaigns as needed.
  • Oversee the brand and website creation for newly created joint ventures.
  • Design captivating graphics and supporting documentation for recruiting fairs, industry days and partner events, enhancing our visual storytelling.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPI) to measure the impact of marketing and communication programs and content, ensuring data-driven decision making.
  • Manage all marketing and communications support contractors and vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality deliverables as required
  • Responsible for planning and executing corporate events to enhance company culture and employee engagement including company picnic, retreat support, and employee recognition events
  • Digitally capture external events to build a rich repository of content and images that represent Seneca Holdings.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with Seneca policies and procedures.
  • Oversee crisis communication and response as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in marketing/communications, with enterprise strategy and brand management expertise
  • 5+ years as a collaborative leader with ability to scale the impact of their team
  • Strong experience with partnering and building relationships with other business areas
  • Ability and interest in writing content for various projects
  • Experience with marketing across various mediums
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, English or related field
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, set deadlines and objectives for the team and then meet established deadlines
  • Ability to set strategic vision and direction of the MarComm team
  • Must have prior experience building and tracking MarComm KPI’s and conducting ROI analysis on MarComm initiatives
  • Must be able to work across the corporate teams to support programs and initiatives
  • Demonstrate the ability to create a story within programs that can be shared to the appropriate audience
  • High attention to detail and the ability to support several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and present it in a meaningful and easily understood way
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint
  • Prior experience with Monday.com
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with Adobe Premier Pro
  • Experience or exposure in federal contracting space is a plus
  • Portfolio of excellent storytelling and writing skills across multiple channels is a plus
