Data Solution Designer - Data Services

About the role

You will design and build innovative data solutions that power SEEK’s analytics, machine learning, and reporting platforms. In this role, you will partner with product owners, engineers, and analysts to define data models, pipelines, and integration architecture that accelerate decision-making. You will report to the Head of Data Engineering within the AI & Platform Services team and collaborate across SEEK’s global data community. Success in this role means lifting data maturity, guiding technical direction, and enabling teams to self-serve trusted, well-designed data. You will transform conceptual ideas into actionable data strategies that scale across multiple business domains.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end data architecture and design patterns
• Partner with product and engineering to deliver scalable data solutions
• Translate business needs into efficient models and pipelines
• Develop solutions that enable analytics, ML, and data storytelling
• Govern design standards and guide technical implementation
• Champion data quality, lineage, and consistency across platforms
• Mentor others and contribute to SEEK’s data innovation roadmap

Skills and experience

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience designing complex data architectures
• Skilled in SQL, Python, cloud technologies (AWS or GCP)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL, and integration tools
• Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
• Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
