At the heart of SecondMuse is a culture dedicated to building social, environmental, and economic impact through the power of communities. For over 15 years, this innovation firm has been designing, developing, and implementing innovative programs and financial solutions. The core belief is that it's possible to achieve economic success without sacrificing the well-being of people and the planet. SecondMuse operates on the principle that every person in every community deserves to thrive, both individually and collectively, and that the greatest innovative solutions emerge when key stakeholders collaborate. The company's journey began in 2009 with the co-founding of Random Hacks of Kindness, a global hackathon movement, alongside partners like Google, Microsoft, NASA, and The World Bank. This initiative underscored the power of collective action to address specific challenges.

SecondMuse's mission is to build resilient economies where all people and communities can contribute, benefit, and recover quickly from hardship. They believe that economies are most malleable in their early stages, which is why they focus on supporting entrepreneurs and the ecosystems surrounding them. This philosophy has guided their work across seven continents, partnering with over 600 organizations, including prominent names like Nike, The World Bank, and Pivotal Ventures, as well as local governments and community organizations. Their approach centers on forging relationships between communities most affected by systemic challenges and the innovators and institutions capable of driving change. Whether it's tackling ocean plastic pollution through The Incubation Network in Singapore, shaping future food systems, or accelerating the representation of women in tech through GET Cities, SecondMuse is committed to turning bold ideas into tangible, positive impact. They champion the idea that thousands of small, sustained actions can lead to more significant and lasting change than singular, sweeping gestures.
