Scopic is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript, ReactJS, AWS) to join our remote team of innovators.Are you passionate about building high-quality, scalable software solutions? Responsibilities:
- Design and build modern, responsive web applications using JavaScript and the ReactJS ecosystem
- Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code in line with best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Implement advanced front-end features including video/audio playback, WebSocket communication, state management, and security enhancements
- Leverage AWS services to create robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native applications
- Containerize applications using Docker to ensure consistency across environments
- Perform code reviews and support continuous improvement through feedback and knowledge sharing
- Troubleshoot bugs, resolve performance issues, and optimize for usability and efficiency
- Stay current with new trends and advancements in frontend development and cloud computing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience developing frontend applications using JavaScript and ReactJS
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS services and integrating cloud-based architectures
- Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and building secure, efficient communication layers
- Strong understanding of frontend security practices including JWT, XSS, and SQL injection prevention
- Experience working with Docker and container-based deployment workflows
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for writing high-quality, well-documented code
- Bonus: Experience with microservices and building highly scalable systems
