We are looking for an innovative, self-starter for our Director, Technical Accounting andRevenue role at Saviynt. We are a multi-national company and need an individual that canestablish polices for the business, opine on complex accounting transaction treatment, and bethe subject matter expert for all technical accounting positions. You will need to collaboratewith our finance and senior leadership team on accounting positions, lead our annual audit, beresponsible for our revenue policy, manage revenue policies in our accounting system, have agood knowledge of GAAP, new accounting standards and SEC filings requirements.
As a member of the Finance team, we strive to provide the Company support in growth andoperations through scalable solutions that are embedded in use of technology and process. Weaim to provide management with relevant and timely financial information to make informeddecisions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assists in determining and documenting the Company’s accounting policies and position on relevant transactions
- Drives the positions the Company has taken on revenue for ASC 606, commission capitalization and amortization, allocation of hosting costs, and software capitalization
- Is the subject matter expert on SEC reporting, positions on new Accounting pronouncements, and other relevant technical accounting items.
- Works with the Finance and Accounting teams on resolutions of issues related to revenue, expenses, balance sheet, and Audit Committee reports.
- Provides analysis and consultation of technical accounting to Finance leadership team
- Review of complex accounting transactions to determine appropriate classification.
- Must have good technical research skills
- Opine on ASC 606 as Company expands into other product offerings and sales strategies
- Must be able to work collaboratively with the operational accounting team and business functions.
- Coordinate with external audit on technical accounting issues and lead the annual audit
- Provide support to the accounting close process, including preparation of US GAAP financial statements
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Five or more years of accounting experience, with Big 4 or equivalent experience
- Work experience in a Technical Accounting role
- Knowledge of SEC filing requirements, experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial statements
- Revenue recognition and MEA experience, a must
- Strong Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, self-directed and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors, and customers
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail
