The Raytheon Talent Leadership team is undergoing significant transformation to meet our customers’ growing needs. To support this effort, we are seeking an exceptional Data and Strategy Consultant to join our Operational Excellence and Strategy team. We partner cross‑functionally with Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Design and Effectiveness, Employee Experience, and Learning and Development to drive mission‑critical success for the company.

This role encompasses Data, Strategy, and Consulting—each intentionally important. The individual in this position will:

  • Manage, analyze, visualize, and report on talent data.
  • Think holistically about business challenges, solve problems strategically, and provide recommendations backed by sound judgment.
  • Serve as a versatile consultative partner to the Talent Leadership Team through stakeholder engagement, executive‑level communication, and project ownership.
  • The ideal candidate is energized by ambiguity, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and brings a strong sense of rigor and ownership typical of fast‑moving, high‑expectation environments.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage standard data‑gathering and reporting processes across multiple HR Talent functions, using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Own research initiatives, partnering with the Workforce Intelligence team to gather and interpret data, answer talent‑related inquiries, and build executive‑level reports that support scalable talent strategies.
  • Conduct targeted analyses for the Raytheon Talent Leadership Team and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights. Analysis topics may include labor market trends, attrition and retention insights, and talent acquisition forecasting.
  • Recommend improvements to data collection, reporting processes, and data governance across Raytheon Talent.
  • Serve as the central hub for available datasets and historical talent data, ensuring rapid access to insights that inform organizational decisions.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate data into simple, compelling narratives that drive organizational change.
  • Report to the Talent and Organizational Health Operational Excellence Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support cyclical reporting initiatives, including annual targets, dashboards, executive presentations, and ad‑hoc analyses.
  • Provide flexible consultative support during periods of increased demand, including communications, presentation development, project management, and strategic problem‑solving.
  • Travel up to 15%.

What You Will Learn

  • Gain exposure to and visibility across the entire Raytheon Talent Leadership Team within Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Design and Effectiveness, Employee Experience, and Learning and Development.
  • Gain exposure to Executive HR Leadership team, including CHRO of Raytheon.
  • Strengthen executive presence and strategic thinking skills.
  • Deepen proficiency as a “data storyteller,” translating dynamic data sets for executive audiences.
  • Expand knowledge and application of data operations best practices.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with data stakeholders, talent leaders, and executives to connect insights.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years experience
  • Experience with using MS Excel such utilizing formulas, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, and templates.
  • Experience with using MS Word such as creating professional reports, maintaining versioning/formatting, and incorporating visuals and tables.
  • Experience with using MS PowerPoint such as creating executive-ready presentations, building visuals, data summaries, and formatting and standardizing templates.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High agility demonstrated through initiative, self‑motivation, resourcefulness, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to interpret people data and translate it into simple, concise insights.
  • Ability to leverage tools and technology to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships quickly within a matrixed organization.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
