Your Role

As RSB’s Digital Product Junior Manager, you will work closely with the Digital Solutions Lead and report to the RSB Programmes Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development Life Cycle: A key part of your role will revolve around digital application development. You will act as the Digital Product Junior Manager for RSB's digital solutions, defining detailed requirements, prioritising development tasks, and ensuring that all solutions are delivered on-time and on-budget. Working hand in hand with the development teams will be crucial as you will need to provide comprehensive specifications, documentation, and oversight throughout the development process to meet end-user expectations and needs gathered through stakeholder engagement.
  • User support and onboarding: You will play a critical role in supporting and empowering users by acting as a system administrator, reviewing, and validating user activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and system policies. Developing streamlined user onboarding processes and providing expert guidance will be key to ensuring optimal user adoption.
  • Documentation and process optimisation: Developing comprehensive internal documentation and supporting instructional materials will be a key responsibility to ensure teams and users have the knowledge and resources they need. You will seek to streamline and optimise our development processes through continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for greater efficiency and implementing new methodologies. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation will be essential to gather feedback and insights that can improve evolving requirements.
  • Coordinate across teams: You will play an integral role in project planning and coordination across our development initiatives. This will involve gathering detailed specifications and requirements that will help inform and shape future development roadmaps. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing feedback directly to project teams throughout the planning phases. Your insights will help improve planning accuracy, ensure projects stay on track, and ultimately lead to successful execution against the defined requirements and specifications.

Requirements

Required - Education, experience, and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Product Manager / Owner for digital applications
  • Experience in digital applications preferred in the context of carbon markets, biofuels or biomaterials chain of custody, and/or sustainability
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development lifecycles
  • Excellent English communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with both Agile and Scrum from a product owner perspective
  • Experience with product management tools, open-source technologies, cloud technologies
  • Must be proficient using all Microsoft programs (Office, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)

Desired

  • Expertise in penetration testing (pen-testing) methodologies and ISO 27001 information security standards
  • Background in cybersecurity practices and threat mitigation strategies
  • Familiarity with carbon markets and related chain-of-custody tracking methodologies
  • Familiarity with biofuels and EU RED and ICAO CORSIA certification standards
  • Understanding of key sectors such as aviation and shipping where solutions are deployed
  • Experience in designing, developing, and integrating APIs (Application Programming Interfaces)
