Robusta is a tech agency working with a diverse client base across different sectors industries on implementing digital transformation programs. Engagements are typically focused on the digitization of existing operations processes and/or activation of digital customer engagement channels. With a team of 100+ tech and market consultants, robusta maintains an impactful footprint across EMEA and engages with its clients through its two key operations hubs in Egypt and Germany.

What you will be doing

  • Lead End-to-End Testing: Design, plan, and oversee comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies to ensure software quality across all stages of the development lifecycle, focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Automation amp; Manual Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute robust automated test scripts and frameworks, while also performing meticulous manual testing to uncover hard-to-find bugs and edge cases.
  • Bug Identification amp; Reporting: Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach in finding, documenting, and tracking defects, ensuring issues are clearly communicated and resolved efficiently.
  • Quality Leadership: Serve as the senior point of contact for all quality-related matters, leading a team of QA engineers and analysts in best practices for testing, defect prevention, and continuous process improvement.
  • Client Engagement amp; Communication: Confidently lead challenging client discussions regarding quality standards, test results, and defect management, translating technical findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Test Strategy amp; Planning: Architect and refine test strategies, including risk-based testing approaches, regression testing plans, and automation coverage, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Collaboration amp; Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure quality objectives are met, while mentoring junior QA staff and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging testing tools and methodologies, driving innovation in QA processes and advocating for the adoption of new technologies that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance and quality control, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role.
  • Proven expertise in both manual and automated testing, including hands-on experience with automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites for complex software systems.
  • Strong track record of identifying, isolating, and documenting critical bugs and edge cases, with a reputation for meticulousness and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading and mentoring QA teams and managing quality processes in Agile or hybrid development environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders and translate technical findings into business value.
  • Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of automated testing tools and scripting languages.
  • Deep understanding of software development life cycle, QA methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.

  • Extreme attention to detail and a rigorous, analytical mindset.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Optional Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated industries or with enterprise-scale projects.
  • Exposure to performance, security, or usability testing.
