As a Rittal Automation System Service & Application Engineer, you will provide technical support, system integration, and application development for Rittal's automation systems. You'll engage with clients to understand their automation needs and ensure successful implementation and operation of Rittal products such as WT, MT, MTS, EHRT, and Perforex. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, configuration, training, and setup of automation systems.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent training required.
- Five plus years work experience in Controls Engineering or CNC Machines with plant floor experience required.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and vacuum systems, electricity (AC/DC), step up/step down transformers, single and three phase power up to 460 volts, linear actuator motors.
- Working knowledge of CAD/AutoCAD drawing for importing customer documentation into the RAS software.
- Experience with automation systems, PLCs, and control technology.
- Familiarity with automation software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
- Basic understanding of drilling, tapping, and milling of metal parts.
- Conversational and technical knowledge of German language is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft products, including working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- High level of interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
