United States onlyRescale is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team that owns Rescale's core cloud computing orchestration engine. The successful candidate will develop technical excellence and leadership among team members, foster AI-assisted software development, and drive incident response and SLO discipline.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience managing high-performing Software Engineering teams of 3–10 people, including senior and staff ICs
- Technically proficient as an IC, at least to Senior Engineer level, with demonstrated depth in scalable distributed systems
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in the SDLC as well as driving AI adoption on a team previously in a sustainable manner
- Production experience with at least one major cloud (AWS or Azure) at scale and familiarity with managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
- Led the delivery of, at least one multi-quarter architectural change with quantifiable impact in the past
- Experience managing a SaaS system powering a complex backend product, with meaningful on-call ownership, incident command, and SLO discipline
