The Red Hat North America Public Sector Services (NAPS) team is looking for a Senior Territory Services Manager to join us in the Northeastern United States. In this role, you will serve as a business expert and apply your deep services background to furthering the strategic sale and successful delivery of Consulting, Training & Certification and Technical Account Management (TAM) Services in your territory. You’ll be a key member of the public sector Services team, focused on state & local government agencies and higher education institutions throughout your territory. As a Senior Territory Services Manager, you will closely collaborate with territory and regional services and sales management to create forecasts and go-to-market strategies, develop a business pipeline for Services solution opportunities and jointly manage sales cycles to closure. You will seek out new opportunities with existing customers to land, guide adoption, and expand Red Hat solutions and services in these accounts. Additionally, you will need a good foundation of technical knowledge, understanding of and ability to articulate multi-component, outcome-focused solutions, with expertise in project and scope management to ensure that implementation meets our standards and quality. What you will do

  • Design and implement effective, high-impact technical and business solutions for Red Hat's customers with a focus on our emerging technologies
  • Contribute to and share complex, reusable, and high-impact Services solutions across NAPS to help solve recurring customer problems
  • Sell Red Hat's solutions using the business requirements of your customers to create unique Red Hat offerings
  • Grow your territory through the development of internal business partnerships with the field sales team as well as alliance and partner programs
  • Work with sales account teams to strategize, plan, and coordinate quarterly and yearly pursuits on Services sales
  • Assist with negotiating statements of work with customers and legal teams
  • Accurately and consistently booking forecasts for your territory
  • Ensure successful delivery of all projects, maintaining a high customer satisfaction level
  • Navigate and proactively own escalation procedures
  • Facilitate the end-to-end delivery of Red Hat Services sales opportunities within accounts, focusing on sales for net new and farming
  • Coordinate customer managers who manage consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration within your team

What you will bring

  • Experience in customer-facing position as a professional services consultant, program manager or in a related sales position
  • Experience working with federal, state, local government agencies and/or higher education institutions
  • Thorough experience in selling strategies and developing proposals, contracts, close plans, and statements of work for professional services
  • Ability to craft and present complex solutions to internal and external customers
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization
  • Experience adhering to open framework methodologies within project teams
  • Understanding of the relationship between the services team and other teams like sales, customer success, engineering, and support
  • Excellence in guiding and conducting presentations for customers and for internal audiences
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to maintain Red Hat’s style of messaging and perspective
  • Foundational understanding of services related to next generation Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) including hybrid cloud, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) including containers and/or Kubernetes, operations management and automation, agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, edge computing, and the general system security accreditation processA passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must reside within commuting distance of New York, NY

The salary range for this position is $209,650- $345,890 OTE (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
