About Andesite:

As an analyst-obsessed company, Andesite’s primary focus is on improving the capabilities and efficiencies of cyber defense teams and their analysts. Its advanced technology is geared toward simplifying cyberthreat analysis and enabling analysts to predict threats, prioritize and allocate resources, and take preemptive action before attacks can occur.

At Andesite, we are building a product suite to supercharge cyber security analysts. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying systems that are secure by design and meet the strictest standards of both government and private-sector compliance frameworks. You will also work on improving our infrastructure, automation, and engineering efficiency.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain platform services, components, and tools that support our cybersecurity applications and workflows
  • Ensure compliance with government and private sector standards and best practices for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy
  • Deploy and operate platform systems in high side environments, following strict access and data protection policies
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand and deliver on customer needs and expectations
  • Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, monitoring tools, and other engineering efficiency solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, Go, or Ruby
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and related technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Experience with SOC2 and other compliance frameworks and standards, such as FEDRAMP, NIST, ISO, and PCI
  • Experience with high side environments, or other classified or sensitive networks, and related security protocols and procedures
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with security concepts, tools, and solutions, such as Detection and Response, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management, and Data Security

Benefits:

  • 100% employer paid, comprehensive health care including medical, dental, and vision for you and your family.
  • Paid maternity and paternity for 14 weeks at employees' normal pay.
  • Unlimited PTO, with management approval with all Federal holidays observed.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continued learning.
  • Occasional travel to our offices in Washington D.C or alternative locations to collaborate with your team in person.
  • Optional 401K and FSA available.
  • Ability to work fully remote within the United States.
