Full Stack Engineer - AI (Bengaluru - Remote)

About the Role

We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer based in Bangalore to help build the core platform powering AI-driven financial automation. This is a backend-heavy role with full-stack scope. You will be deeply technical on the backend, owning data, ETL, data infrastructure, APIs, and system architecture, while also being willing to contribute to frontend work as needed. Nobody is siloed. Everyone goes end-to-end.

You will work on genuinely hard problems alongside a founding team with a world-class technical pedigree. Reasoning agents, fragmented data reconciliation, and workflow orchestration under audit constraints. Your fingerprints will shape the stack, the team, and the product from the early days.

• Build and scale backend systems powering AI agents that reason across fragmented financial data

• Design and implement APIs, data pipelines, ETL workflows, and infrastructure supporting real-time financial operations

• Contribute to frontend and full-stack product surfaces as the scope demands, this is not optional

• Collaborate directly with the founding engineering team on architecture and system design decisions

• Maintain high code quality, reliability, and performance across production systems

• Go 0 to 1 repeatedly across a compound product roadmap

Requirements

Must-Have

Technical

• 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus

• Deep backend expertise: data pipelines, ETL, data infrastructure, system architecture, and APIs

• Full-stack willingness: technically capable in JavaScript and React on the frontend, comfortable contributing across the entire stack

• Strong coding fundamentals, someone who can write serious code with or without AI assistance

• CS degree from a top IIT such as: IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, or IIT Kharagpur

Execution and Ownership

• High-output and self-directed, does not need heavy process or defined specs to be productive

• Willing to work at a high-intensity pace, 6 days a week, with long hours depending on the season

• Goes end-to-end on problems, does not stop at the backend, and waits for someone else to complete the work

Communication

• Clear written and verbal English communication, clarity of thought is what matters, not accent

• Collaborative and transparent, it works well in a small, tight-knit engineering team where engineers speak directly to customers

Location

• Remote → Bangalore over time (after 6 months from joining)

Nice-to-Have

• Background at Rubrik (early engineers), Postman, or early Razorpay (first ~50 engineers)

• Prior startup experience, especially 0 to 1 product building or founding engineer experience

• Competitive programming background: ACM-ICPC, IOI, or equivalent

• Exposure to AI agents, LLM tooling, or financial data systems
