Overview
We are looking for a brilliant Commercial Counsel to join Recharge’s expanding in-house legal team. As our Commercial Counsel, you will report to the Managing Counsel, Commercial & Privacy and will be primarily responsible for supporting the Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Procurement, Marketing and Customer Success orgs with a focus on commercial contract negotiation and providing business-first legal advice.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad variety of other legal and business matters across the organization.
The right person will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams with the ability to manage a wide range of projects.
What you’ll do

Partner with various stakeholders in the company to help drive business outcomes
Provide legal support and advice on a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, data processing agreements and non-disclosure agreements
Participate in end-to-end contract support (i.e., advising, drafting, negotiating and readying for execution) for a variety of commercial agreements
Assist in the operation and development of policies and procedures for the company
Contribute to problem resolution by identifying, addressing, and escalating issues as they arise
Work cross-functionally on a variety of legal matters to support business development and innovation
Provide clear and pragmatic legal advice to non-lawyers on a commercial matters
What you’ll bring
JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
Active member of a recognized state bar in the United States
5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
Excellent negotiating and drafting skills on financial/commercial transactions
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management in various departments
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Detail oriented and driven to do things right
Self-motivated with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes
Effective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive manner
A team player with a ‘winning as a team’ attitude
Ability to work remote-first in a rapidly scaling organization
