Raising the Village

Raising The Village (RTV) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to ending ultra-poverty in last-mile rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 2012, the organization partners with remote villages to implement holistic, data-informed programs that address the multidimensional nature of poverty. By focusing on removing immediate barriers to scarcity and building local capacity, RTV empowers communities to move towards economic self-sufficiency and long-term resilience.

The organization's approach is grounded in a low-cost, high-impact model that leverages community-driven initiatives and real-time data analytics. RTV works closely with local governments and village partners to co-design interventions in critical areas such as agriculture, water and sanitation, healthcare, and financial inclusion. Through a comprehensive 24-month partnership cycle, households are equipped with the resources, training, and support needed to significantly increase their income and improve their overall quality of life.
