Priorities USA began its journey in 2011, founded by former Obama campaign officials Bill Burton and Sean Sweeney with a singular mission: to support the re-election of President Barack Obama. What started as a traditional super PAC focused on television advertising has since evolved into the largest Democratic super PAC and a sophisticated digital powerhouse for the progressive movement. Over the years, the organization has played a pivotal role in supporting Democratic candidates, including Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020, by adapting to the changing landscape of political communication.

Recognizing the shift in how voters consume information, Priorities USA has transformed itself into a 'digital brain trust' for the left. The organization now focuses heavily on digital mobilization, persuasion campaigns, and cutting-edge research to reach voters where they are—online.
