JOB CATEGORY: ACCOUNTING / MANAGEMENT / BOOKKEEPING
2 days per week “Work from Home” 3 days “In-Office” after completion of 90 day probation period.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position supervises a team of Accounts Receivable Specialists responsible for accounts receivable follow-up, third party payer and patient collections, patient and payer telephone inquiries, and incoming correspondence. In addition, this position is responsible for performing a variety of accounts receivable tasks with a focus on aged accounts, payer discrepancies and disputed claims.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a closely related field; OR a minimum of high school diploma / GED plus a combination of four years related education, training and experience may substitute for a degree.
- One year of healthcare cash posting, billing, Third party follow-up and collections experience required.
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of automated business applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet and data base management applications required.
- Data entry experience and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance preferred.
