Responsabilities
- Customize and extend WooCommerce functionality to meet client-specific requirements.
- Build, enhance, and support WooCommerce integrations with Stripe, memberships, coupons, email templates, and user-based logic.
- Develop custom plugins and themes as needed to support unique product types and workflows.
- Optimize and maintain performance of large WooCommerce installations.
- Collaborate directly with the client to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver features.
- Write clean, scalable, well-documented code following WordPress and WooCommerce standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues across the platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
- Proven experience implementing WooCommerce at enterprise scale (large catalog, high traffic, or complex business logic).
- Strong experience with WooCommerce customization, including: Product types, Cart and checkout flow, Email customization, User-specific pricing, memberships, and coupon logic.
- Experience with Stripe API integration (payments, subscriptions, refunds, webhooks).
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with WordPress hooks, filters, REST API, and plugin architecture.
- Comfortable working with Git, staging environments, and deployment workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface directly with non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance optimization in large WooCommerce sites.
- Familiarity with WP CLI, Docker, or CI/CD workflows for WordPress.
- Experience working with CRMs or ERP systems integrated into WooCommerce.
- Prior experience in agency or client-facing roles.
