As a Deployment Command & Control Architect within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you may be based in a remote location. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

As a Deployment Command & Control Architect, you will act as a problem-solver and a critical link from Discovery through deployment, ensuring that the delivered capabilities effectively support project objectives, epics and user stories. The role focuses on the post-deployment phase, verifying that the deployed software functions as intended in the target environment and meets all specified requirements and user expectations.

Key responsibilities:

-Collaborating with Discovery, development, QA, IT teams and end user technical teams to define the scope, objectives, and strategy for deployment validation testing. This includes identifying key areas for tests, defining test cases, and establishing timelines.
-Orchestrating the execution of internal post deployment validation tests & supporting end user post deployment validation testing. Represents Tempus in post deployment validation War Room (where teams gather to strategize, coordinate, and address critical tasks or challenges) This will require night and weekend shifts during deployment events.
-Guiding both internal and external teams in identifying, documenting, and prioritizing any issues or defects discovered during validation testing. This includes facilitating communication between teams to ensure timely resolution of problems before or immediately after deployment.
-Providing clear and concise updates on the status of deployment validation, including overall validation readiness, test results, and identified issues. This involves communicating effectively with all relevant participants and stakeholders, including leadership and both internal and external technical resources

Due to the nature of the position, we are seeking candidates with the following:
-A fundamental understanding of software development principles and technologies, not necessarily hands-on coding experience, but enough to effectively communicate between business technical stakeholders, Tempus architects and development teams. This involves understanding how our software stores and organizes data, and manages and processes information
-Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, understandable terms for testers & business stakeholders
-Strong ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the design and implementation of solutions.

Job Description

  • Participates in defining functional designs and application systems architecture across all technologies and platforms.
  • Designs an application's technical infrastructure, such as specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
  • Participates in the assessment of software defects discovered during the quality assurance process.
  • Participates in addressing enterprise-wide platform and technology requirements for applications.
  • Develops detailed programming instructions to solve business problems through automation support.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $194,350.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
