About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance services and APIs within a cloud-native environment. In this role, you will build applications in Golang and Python, leverage native AWS and GCP services, and deliver production-ready features end-to-end. You’ll collaborate across engineering, research, and product teams while contributing to best practices and supporting critical production systems.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance services and APIs.

  • Build applications in Golang and Python on a modern cloud-focused platform.

  • Develop and maintain services leveraging AWS technologies such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3, as well as GCP native services.

  • Deliver production-ready code from start to finish with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.

  • Review code to maintain quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Work cross-functionally with software engineers, test engineers, research scientists, and product managers.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.

  • Help evolve engineering best practices across the team.

  • Participate in on-call rotation, including required night and weekend coverage.

  • Comfortable context-switching between diagnosing application issues (Prometheus, Grafana), triaging production problems (Google Logging, Cloud Trace), improving tests, designing new solutions, and writing code.


Your Skill Set

Must Have

  • 5–7 years of software development experience.

  • Experience designing and implementing highly scalable, cloud-based APIs.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python and Go.

  • Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.

  • 2+ years of DevOps experience with SaaS service deployment, including CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and working with multi-container environments such as Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with data storage technologies such as Redis and MySQL.

  • Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Experience developing and maintaining services using AWS technologies such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3.

  • Strong Linux proficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with RabbitMQ and Nginx.

  • Comfort writing JavaScript or contributing to frontend tasks.

  • Take ownership of tasks coming out of planning meetings.

  • Help drive task breakdown during grooming and planning.

  • Deliver a major feature design or implementation.

  • Teach the team something new—sharing your expertise or insights.
