Perficient has a career opportunity for a Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our Custom Product Development business unit. The Project Manager/Scrum Master will have complete responsibility for the day-to-day management of the engagement, including all aspects related to managing a development team, resulting in a successful delivery and a satisfied, reference-able client. This highly collaborative role will need to work closely with all departments, including account, creative and technology teams, in order to deliver quality solutions to our customers.

PM or SM responsibilities will vary depending on specific role, but might include:

  • Leads scrum and scrum ceremonies.
  • Create project timelines, and manage creative, development milestones and deliverables.
  • Negotiate scope, schedule, and funding with external IT and business partners.
  • Foster an environment that adapts quickly to creative change and focuses on Agile development principles.
  • Maintain creative, production, and technical goals set forth by our teams and clients.
  • Manage overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates can be clearly communicated to the product and account leads.
  • Capture and record meeting notes and ensure action items are completed promptly.
  • Partner with development team members to understand opportunities and limitations of solutions being implemented.
  • Remove impediments through discussion with the business, stakeholders or inter-dependent scrum teams.
  • Manage all deliverables with any required external vendors.
  • Provide production and technical knowledge, in addition to innovation insight, in order to arrive at the best-possible execution decisions.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and/or Product Managers to track sprint progress against overall project timelines.
  • Manage resources for each assigned project to ensure that the project remains on schedule.
  • Work closely with the product and account leads to remain in full communication on the status and details of each project, including any cost or timing issues that may arise.
  • Anticipate any potential issues with the project through quick responses and proactive critical thinking.
  • Establish common goals across multiple teams and define useful metrics and reporting to track team performance.
  • Manage milestones across multiple teams.
  • Lead teams of engineers through the completion of all phases of the project.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading projects within a technical, Agile development environment.
  • Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality projects.
  • Must be incredibly detail-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality projects.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Hands on with project documentation. Well-versed in industry best-practices and current technologies.
  • Wide variety of technical knowledge of various systems (technology).
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.

Nice to have:

  • 2+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship management, and account management experience.
  • Scrum Master Certifications.
  • Finance and/or Healthcare experience.
  • Experience with Global Delivery Model.
  • Prior background in managing large, multi-team engagements.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
