The API Gateway engineer will work in areas of Designing, modifying, optimizing, and managing Broadcom/CA Layer7 API Gateway, DevPortal including deploying for scalability, refactoring policies for performance and seamless migration, integrating with datastore and backend systems. May also develop additional tools/utilities. This is a hands-on role. While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States and will be working CT and ET zones.

- Experience with Installation and Configuration for CA Layer 7 API Gateway, Developer Portal Products
- Experience with Automation Tools of Jenkins and Ansible.
- Experience integrating SSO, LDAP and OpenID with CA Layer 7 API Gateway.
- Experience with Installation of OAuth Tool Kit
- Experience with Handling CORS for API Gateway
- Performance tuning CA API Gateway.
- Handling API Gateway patches and upgrades.
- Experience with MySQL and Oracle Databases based Data Migration
- Integrate auditing and logging framework using CA Layer 7 API gateway.
- Experience with F5 and Load Balancer Configurations
- Required 10+ years of experience software development experience.
- Required 5 Years Hands-on experience in database systems; relational, document, and key value stores.
- Prior experience supporting CA API Gateway Operations Prior experience with Developer Portal integration and customization.
- Familiarity with the OAuth & OTK component of the CA API Gateway and all aspects of OAuth flow and OTK policy
- Familiar with using REST API to integrate API Gateway with other processes.
- Familiar with using the Gateway Migration Utility
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.
- Required Good understanding of infrastructure and network design.
- Proven problem management and resolution skills
- Understanding of and ability to apply risk-based approach to systems decisions and present these to senior management and technical professionals.
- Knowledge of data migration practices and technologies
Preferred skills and education:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Client facing or consulting experience is highly preferred
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
