PeopleCert is looking for a Regional Manager-South, India who will be responsible to develop strong pipelines and deliver new business in their territory. Through an in-depth understanding of the PeopleCert Group and go-to-market strategy, the successful candidate will establish relationships with key decision makers of training organizations, universities, and corporations in their assigned territory.

As a pivotal member of our leadership team, the Regional Manager will assume a strategic role in the organization, driving operational efficiency, fostering growth, and ensuring exceptional performance across multiple locations within the assigned region. This dynamic position requires a professional with an extensive record in regional management, a comprehensive understanding of regional management intricacies, a keen business acumen, and a passion for fostering high-performing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring a consistent and high level of performance within the assigned region.
  • Implementing best practices to enhance operational processes, efficiency, and resource optimization.
  • Designing and delivering market plans and strategies to maximize growth and market penetration within the assigned region.
  • Keeping up with market trends, competitor activities, and industry advancements, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Harnessing market intelligence to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, leading the charge in innovative solutions and service offerings.
  • Carrying out the day-to-day activity – like meeting agents, training counsellors, training the trainers and conduct student sessions.
  • Assuming responsibility for managing regional budgets.
  • Monitoring KPIs to assess the region's performance.
  • Developing and implementing risk management practices to proactively identify and mitigate potential operational risks within the region.
  • Collaborating closely with the current agent network, nurturing and sustaining relationships on-site. Additionally, they will actively enlist new agents throughout the region to achieve increased registrations.
  • Delivering product training and communicating the latest test developments to stakeholders through webinars, events, sessions, and meetings.
  • Participating in education fairs and recruitment events throughout West India to engage with and offer guidance to potential students.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with senior management, site managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Providing regular, transparent updates on regional performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives, fostering a collaborative and informed organizational culture.
  • Overseeing the Business Development Manager team designated for their region of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a similar field.
  • 10+ years’ of previous working experience in education / training assessments / any service industry or transactional/consultative sales (any industry). · At least 3-4 years in a previous managerial position.
  • Capabilities to develop, engage and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to manage large accounts (like dealerships/ resellers etc.)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Business Acumen
  • Excellent command of the English language (native-like or C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
  • Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advanced level certification is desirable.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
