Python Engineer (AWS)

Team Overview:

As part of the product & development team, you are part of the robust engine that supports Payability’s promise to our customers for friction-free financing! The product & development team includes product management team, project management team, QA testers, as well as a dedicated, collaborative engineering force. PMs and engineers partner together on various projects ranging from data science, machine learning, internal tools, customer-facing products, to name a few. We support the end-to-end SDLC lifecycle for our projects as well as post-production support. This Python Developer position is fully remote.

Position Overview:

We're looking for ambitious Software Engineers, with real life experience in building Python micro-services and deployed in AWS-native environment. If you have experience with building low-latency, distributed systems processing big data, you'll be an ideal fit for us.

• Building new features for our API data processing

• Design and build scalable & high-performance backend microservices
• Expand our Serverless footprint - Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis and more
• Enjoy the massive amount of modern tools our diverse teams use.
• Re-engineering our ETL workflows
• Improving the resilience of our systems against traffic surge

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building products for the consumer in a AWS environment
• 5+ years of experience using Python
• Experience building production application with Flask/Django
• Good knowledge and proven experience with AWS tools
• Knowledge of software architecture principles
• Experience with PostgreSQL database
• Experience in processing accounting transactions
• Experience with GIT
• Strong background in Agile methodology
• NoSQL DB experience is a plus
• SQLAlchemy experience
• DevOps/CI knowledge
• Experience in REST APIs and event-driven architecture
• Experience with cloud deployment
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English (B2/C1)
