Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Pre-Sales Engineer with expertise in networking to join our team. This role involves working closely with the sales team to provide technical support and expertise during the pre-sales process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical features into business benefits.
Your contribution
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying customers' technical requirements, developing solutions, and addressing any technical concerns.
Solution Design: Collaborate with sales teams to design and propose comprehensive networking solutions that meet customer needs and align with company offerings.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of networking solutions to prospective customers.
RFP/RFI Response: Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) by providing detailed and accurate technical information.
Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their business objectives and technical requirements, and provide insights on how our solutions can address their challenges.
Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, proposals, and product specifications.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to sales teams on networking products and technologies to enhance their technical knowledge and sales effectiveness.
Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest networking technologies, industry trends, and competitor products to provide informed recommendations to customers and sales teams.
Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback and provide input to the product management and development teams to improve product offerings and address market demands.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and the OpenVPN protocol.
Experience: Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering or similar technical role, preferably in the networking industry.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer needs and propose effective solutions.
Presentation Skills: Proficiency in creating and delivering compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
Customer-focused: Ability to build strong relationships with customers and understand their business and technical requirements.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with sales teams, technical teams, and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Certifications: Advanced networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar are highly desirable.
Technical Writing: Experience in creating detailed technical documentation and proposal writing.
Project Management: Basic project management skills to coordinate multiple pre-sales activities and timelines.
