We're on a mission to make energy greener, fairer, and genuinely better for people. Our global energy revolution is backed by Generation, the sustainable fund co-chaired by Al Gore. We have thousands of diverse roles ready to be filled across our Group and around the world.

Europe's best-funded green tech start-up

We're one of the few UK 'double unicorns', building cutting-edge technology to drive the global green energy revolution.

Recently we were honoured to receive $600 million investment from Al Gore’s own sustainable investment fund, Generation – a massive vote of confidence from one of the world's foremost climate action leaders.

Transforming the energy system using tech

Our industry-leading tech platform Kraken is revolutionising the energy system to make power cheaper, greener, and better for people. It's licensed to support 17 million customer accounts globally, and we aim to serve 100 million by 2027.

Kraken’s unlocking an energy grid that works like the internet: key to accelerating the world’s transition to a decentralised, 100% green energy system.

The best-loved energy supplier in the UK

We've gone from a tiny startup supplier to a global leader in just 5 years, and through that relentless growth we still put customers at the heart of everything we do. That's how we've got five stars on TrustPilot based on over 100,000 customer reviews and why consumer champions Which? have named us a Recommended Provider for the last five years in a row.

We're fighting to make energy fairer, more affordable, and more accessible for all.

What it's like to work at Octopus

We’ve got an important, urgent mission to bring affordable, green energy to the world, and every person at Octopus works relentlessly to make that change happen fast.

We work with freedom and responsibility. You'll get a lot of trust to run with ideas and take ownership of what you do.

Our founder Greg has a theory that building a great team should be like building a dry-stone wall: rather than forcing people into 'cuboids' and sticking them together in neat little rows, we take authentic humans, and find ways for them to fit together naturally to form a truly solid team full of unique perspectives and strengths. This way of working isn't for everyone. You have to drive your own work forward; be agile, flexible, and personally accountable for everything you do, from idea to conception.
