JOB SUMMARY
The Construction IT Program Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the organization’s technology strategy across the construction lifecycle. In this capacity, this role represents IT, partnering closely with project sponsors, construction executives, project managers, and technical teams to develop clear, actionable roadmaps that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency. The role focuses on reviewing high level business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, and supporting the successful execution of construction initiatives across operations. This position also contributes to the continuous improvement of IT program management practices, governance standards, and delivery frameworks across the enterprise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Construction IT Program Manager will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to:
Collaborate with project sponsors and construction leadership to define strategic priorities and ensure alignment between business goals, operational needs, and technology initiatives.
Develop and maintain multi year construction technology roadmaps, ensuring they reflect evolving project delivery requirements, operations needs, and enterprise strategy.
Review and refine high level requirements to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with project controls, and operational processes.
Lead cross functional teams of analysts, solution architects, and implementation teams to support the planning and execution of global construction projects.
Provide weekly executive updates to the executive leadership summarizing progress, risks, and key decisions for global construction technology programs.
Partner with project managers to oversee all phases of construction IT projects, ensuring effective initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout.
Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project plans that reflect scope, schedule, budget, and construction‑specific requirements.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across field and office teams, preparing clear program status reports and documentation.
Identify and escalate risks, offering recommendations to support timely decision making.
Manage relationships with technology vendors and solution providers, coordinating deliverables and ensuring alignment with IT and project requirements.
Participate in global construction initiatives and support broader programs as needed.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of IT project or program management experience within the construction industry or supporting construction operations
Experience collaborating with project sponsors and senior leadership to define priorities and roadmaps
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Experience managing both waterfall and agile methodologies
Strong ability to interpret and refine high level business and technical requirements
Ability to lead cross functional teams through full lifecycle project delivery
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and SharePoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to field teams, technical teams, and executives
Experience supporting change management efforts from an IT/PMO perspective
Familiarity with construction technology platforms, data workflows, and vendor coordination is beneficial

Remote work is authorized for this position
Travel up to 20% may be required and will vary month to month
Position may require evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines on occasion
