We're looking for a talented, passionate Loss Control Program Manager to join our team. This is a highly visible and important position with the primary goal of building and then leading a scalable Loss Control/Accident Prevention Services program. You will initially be a team of one (managing external vendors), but will design and build out a program beginning in 2025.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan, direct, and control activities of third party Loss Control and Accident Prevention Services partners in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating current practices and introducing improvements.
  • Establish best practices for loss control and accident prevention.
  • Creating training materials or courses for the insured to participate in to drive down losses.
  • Provide training to staff on technical subjects as requested by management.
  • Provide management technical advice and assistance in establishing organizational policies of assigned authority.
  • Responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced by third party loss control consultants.
  • Scope includes Loss Control for General Liability, Professional Liability, and Inland Marine and Accident Prevention Services for Workers Compensation. We may expand the scope to additional lines of business in the future.
  • Coordinate with external parties to submit reporting to the State Insurance Departments
  • Respond to specific questions and provide support on Technical/scientific (safety standards or operational processes), emerging liabilities.
  • Support account profitability by identifying appropriate risk control services, activities, and/or interventions.
  • Assist in building, maintaining, and delivering established vendor services in accordance with technical and financial requirements.
  • When required, respond to customer service requests, meeting agreed upon needs and building customer relationships to support account retention.
  • Communicates ideas and issues with management to reach successful agreement through innovation, creativity, and compromise.

What We Need:

  • 5+ years experience in Loss Control and/or Accident Prevention Services at a commercial lines insurance carrier.
  • While people management experience is not critical for year one, potential and desire to ultimately manage others is important.
  • Teamwork - ability to develop relationships/collaborate with internal and external partners/customers.
  • Certifications and/or Registrations CSP, ARM, CPCU, or other professional designation are desired.
  • Strong knowledge of property loss control, safety regulations and standards, including NFPA, ICC/IBC codes, OSHA, and other relevant best-practice & regulatory standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Google GSuite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different personalities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of relevant software tools.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. NEXT employees are eligible to participate in our equity incentive program and will also receive our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:$90,000—$130,000 USD
