Applied Machine Learning Engineer (L5), Monitoring & Alerting

Netflix is seeking an Applied Machine Learning Engineer (L5) to join its Monitoring & Alerting team. The role will involve defining and implementing a forward-looking strategy for Netflix's AI Ops platform, building systems that integrate internal Observability data with LLMs, and contributing to a platform that processes billions of data points in real time every minute.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in high-scale, modern tech-driven companies.
• Proficient in designing, building, and operating algorithms or leveraging APIs for Monitoring and Alerting applications.
• Familiar with the latest techniques and applications of Generative AI.
• Proficient in distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Java and Python programming languages.
• Knowledgeable about all areas of the software lifecycle: design, development, test, deploy, operate, and support.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Product mindset that is deeply empathetic to customer needs, strategic in orientation, and metrics and outcomes-driven.
