Software Developer / Database Developer – Detailed Description

Role Overview

The Software Developer will design and implement the technical core of a data-driven web application, with a strong focus on database logic, backend development, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of database schemas and backend logic
• Development of core application features (data management, workflows, matching logic)
• Implementation of user management and role-based access control
• Development of data import/export and reporting functionality
• Ensuring secure, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaboration with the Project Lead and other developers in a remote setup

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience in:
• Database development and/or
• Web application backend development
• Strong experience with:
• Relational databases (e.g. MS SQL or equivalent)
• Backend development and data modeling
• Experience implementing:
• User and permission management
• Reporting, KPIs, and structured data outputs
• Practical experience with version control (e.g. Git)

Data Protection & Quality

• Experience handling sensitive or personal data
• Familiarity with GDPR-compliant data processing
• Focus on clean architecture, maintainability, and documentation
