OUR VISION

When people use our technology to "bridge the gap" between the physical and digital worlds, they don’t just capture reality - they create a new one. In this new reality, they are smarter, more productive, more streamlined, and more creative - because they have the digital foundation to build the world they want to live in.

That’s what NavVis offers in all our products and services: the tools to not just map the world as it is, but to pave the way to a better future. To forge something new. Physical or digital, there is only one reality. And it’s the reality NavVis empowers people to build better.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for reality capture, mobile mapping, and surveying technology? We’re looking for a Reality Capture Project Manager focused on oil gas to lead high-impact reality capture projects for our largest industrial clients across North America.

This is a unique opportunity to join an international, high-growth tech company and directly influence how major enterprises digitize their Industrial assets.

  • Define project scopes, deliverables, budgets, and success metrics with precision.
  • Coordinate internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Data Ops, Product) and external service providers.
  • Monitor, steer and report project progress to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Troubleshoot challenges and develop scalable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute directly to company revenue and customer satisfaction by delivering high-value outcomes.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

  • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally in AEC, laser scanning, surveying, or similar technical domains
  • Experience working with 3D laser scanning, surveying, BIM, or digital twin technologies required
  • 2-3 years of experience working with Oil Gas clients preferred
  • Experience in executing and managing reality capture or surveying products in highly complex industrial environments (Automotive, Oil Gas, etc.) is required
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level clients and international subcontractors
  • Very structured work style with an intrinsic motivation for optimization and efficiency

The journey of NavVis began with a visionary spark in 2007. While at the Stanford University GPS Lab, a PhD student named Georg Schroth conceived of a revolutionary approach to indoor positioning rooted in computer vision. This seed of an idea would lay the groundwork for a company that would redefine how we interact with the built environment. The concept began to take concrete shape in 2011, when Schroth's research received funding from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, allowing him to bring on board Robert Huitl and Sebastian Hilsenbeck. The trio's academic project was destined for the commercial world, and in 2013, the final piece of the founding puzzle fell into place when McKinsey consultant Felix Reinshagen joined the team. Together, these four founders launched NavVis, a startup incubated with the crucial support of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

From its inception, NavVis was driven by the mission to bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds. The company's innovative technology, centered around Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), enables the rapid and accurate creation of photorealistic digital twins of buildings and assets. This wasn't just about creating 3D models; it was about providing immersive, actionable spatial data that could empower businesses across various sectors. Early on, NavVis secured the trust of major enterprises like BMW, Daimler, and Allianz, who saw the immense potential in digitizing their facilities for enhanced operational efficiency and smarter decision-making. This early adoption by industry leaders was a powerful validation of the founders' vision. Headquartered in Munich, Germany, NavVis has since expanded its global footprint with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and China, serving a worldwide clientele in the surveying, AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), and manufacturing industries. Their story is one of relentless innovation, transforming a novel academic concept into a global standard for indoor spatial intelligence and digital twin technology.
