OUR VISION

When people use our technology to "bridge the gap" between the physical and digital worlds, they don’t just capture reality - they create a new one. In this new reality, they are smarter, more productive, more streamlined, and more creative - because they have the digital foundation to build the world they want to live in.

That’s what NavVis offers in all our products and services: the tools to not just map the world as it is, but to pave the way to a better future. To forge something new. Physical or digital, there is only one reality. And it’s the reality NavVis empowers people to build better.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about inspiring potential clients and using your sales expertise to make a lasting impact in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry?

NavVis is seeking an Account Executive focused on the AEC sector to join our expanding U.S. team. As the Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for driving the adoption of NavVis solutions among AEC firms, general contractors, and design professionals. You will champion the benefits of in-house laser scanning, demonstrating how our technology lowers project costs and optimizes workflows throughout critical phases—from pre-construction planning to progress tracking and as-built documentation.

  • Drive Market Expansion: Spearhead NavVis' growth within the AEC sector, targeting companies that have or are building internal laser scanning capabilities.
  • End-to-End Sales Ownership: Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through closing, focused on high-impact AEC clients.
  • Showcase NavVis’ Value Proposition: Present NavVis' LX Series Indoor Mobile Mapping system as a transformative tool for Scan-to-BIM, progress tracking, and as-built documentation, emphasizing cost savings, efficiency, and precision in construction projects.
  • Engage and Educate: Attend AEC-specific trade shows and industry events to demonstrate NavVis' technology to a range of decision-makers, from technical teams to senior executives.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to shape product and market strategies based on insights from the AEC industry.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated success in B2B sales, specifically with SaaS solutions for the AEC industry.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of point cloud data and its applications within AEC projects, especially for construction verification, progress tracking, and facility management.
  • Customer Focus: A consultative, client-focused approach, capable of identifying unique customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within your region to engage clients and build relationships in person.
  • Curiosity for Technology: Enthusiasm for new technology, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States.

The journey of NavVis began with a visionary spark in 2007. While at the Stanford University GPS Lab, a PhD student named Georg Schroth conceived of a revolutionary approach to indoor positioning rooted in computer vision. This seed of an idea would lay the groundwork for a company that would redefine how we interact with the built environment. The concept began to take concrete shape in 2011, when Schroth's research received funding from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, allowing him to bring on board Robert Huitl and Sebastian Hilsenbeck. The trio's academic project was destined for the commercial world, and in 2013, the final piece of the founding puzzle fell into place when McKinsey consultant Felix Reinshagen joined the team. Together, these four founders launched NavVis, a startup incubated with the crucial support of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

From its inception, NavVis was driven by the mission to bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds. The company's innovative technology, centered around Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), enables the rapid and accurate creation of photorealistic digital twins of buildings and assets. This wasn't just about creating 3D models; it was about providing immersive, actionable spatial data that could empower businesses across various sectors. Early on, NavVis secured the trust of major enterprises like BMW, Daimler, and Allianz, who saw the immense potential in digitizing their facilities for enhanced operational efficiency and smarter decision-making. This early adoption by industry leaders was a powerful validation of the founders' vision. Headquartered in Munich, Germany, NavVis has since expanded its global footprint with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and China, serving a worldwide clientele in the surveying, AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), and manufacturing industries. Their story is one of relentless innovation, transforming a novel academic concept into a global standard for indoor spatial intelligence and digital twin technology.
