Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in offshore fabrication, EPC projects, and renewable energy infrastructure (e.g., wind turbine foundations, substations, floating platforms).
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, EPC contractors, OEMs, and developers in the energy sector.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and bids for fabrication and engineering projects.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming tenders to position the company strategically.
Client & Market Engagement
- Engage with national oil companies (NOCs), international oil companies (IOCs), and renewable developers to understand upcoming opportunities.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to network and enhance brand visibility.
- Liaise closely with internal teams (Engineering, Estimation, Project Management, Fabrication Yard) to align client requirements with technical capabilities.
Tendering & Commercial Support
- Support tender preparation and submission, including bid/no-bid analysis, pricing strategy, and proposal documentation.
- Ensure timely follow-up on submitted bids and manage negotiation processes.
- Work with legal and contracts teams to finalize commercial terms and agreements.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the company’s growth strategy for both traditional and renewable energy markets.
- Analyse market intelligence to guide investment and capability development (e.g., in offshore wind, hydrogen, carbon capture).
- Support management in forecasting revenue and order intake for assigned regions or segments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Marine preferred).
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles within the Oil & Gas fabrication, EPC, or Renewables industry.
- Proven track record in securing projects or long-term contracts with major clients in the sector.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, project lifecycles, and supply chain dynamics.
