In this role you will lead mission-critical water systems that enable semiconductor innovation, ensuring optimal performance of ultra-pure water and wastewater treatment infrastructure while advancing environmental sustainability.

Every day you will apply specialized engineering expertise to maintain and enhance water treatment systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support semiconductor research and development operations.

This Senior Facilities Ultra Pure Water / Wastewater Engineer role presents an exceptional opportunity to shape the water infrastructure that enables semiconductor innovation. The position combines technical leadership with environmental compliance, directly impacting Natcast's ability to advance semiconductor research and development through sophisticated water treatment systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead UPW and wastewater treatment system operations

  • Design and implement water system expansion projects

  • Ensure environmental compliance and system reliability

  • Develop water conservation and sustainability initiatives

  • Manage system documentation and operational procedures

  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization

  • Lead root cause analysis and system improvements

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors

  • Provide technical mentorship to engineering team

  • Monitor water quality and system metrics

  • Develop standard operating procedures

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)

  • 7+ years of facilities engineering experience

  • 3+ years senior role in semiconductor industry

  • Expertise in UPW systems (RO/EDI, ion exchange, UV, filtration)

  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies

  • Experience with SCADA and control systems

  • Understanding of environmental regulations and SEMI standards

  • Excellence in project management and documentation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Demonstrated success in team collaboration

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Fab construction project experience

  • PMP certification

  • Advanced water quality monitoring expertise

  • Experience with large-scale system expansion

  • Knowledge of ISO standards

  • Environmental compliance management background
