N-Power’s unique model will dramatically shorten oncology drug development timelines by (1) unlocking clinical trial participation for the vast number of oncologists and cancer patients in the community setting, and (2) enabling smaller, faster clinical trials with non-randomized designs, through prospectively-generated external controls based on standard-of-care patients.

We are rapidly scaling our network of community oncology practices and are generating revenue from a growing base of BioPharma customers.
Position OverviewN-Power Medicine (NPM) is hiring a Director of Business Development to help drive strategic growth within our Pharma/Biotech portfolio. This role is critical to expanding NPM’s market presence and forging high-impact partnerships across the life sciences ecosystem.
The Director will own the end-to-end business development strategy—from pipeline generation to deal closure—while collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders in Medical, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering. This role will not only shape client solutions that align with evolving industry needs, but also influence corporate growth targets through meaningful contributions to bookings and revenue performance.
Success in this role requires a mix of strategic thinking, relationship-building acumen, and the ability to translate complex scientific and technical capabilities into compelling client value.
This is a remote role within the United States.
Role Objectives and Responsibilities-Drive the development and execution of high-impact lead acquisition strategies across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.-Craft and implement tailored strategies to advance and close partnership opportunities, including the creation of comprehensive customer account plans informed by in-depth analysis of pipelines, business priorities, and key decision-makers.-Lead the articulation and delivery of compelling collaboration proposals, establishing both near- and long-term strategies to deepen partner engagement and expand account value.-Direct cross-functional teams—spanning Business Development, Medical, Operations, Data Science, Engineering, and Legal—in the creation of customized proposals and draft statements of work that align with client needs and organizational goals.-Partner with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support complex contract negotiations and ensure alignment with organizational standards and risk frameworks.-Ensure seamless transition of closed opportunities from Business Development to Operations, ensuring alignment and continuity throughout project initiation.-Provide regular reporting and insights on pipeline performance, revenue opportunities, and the overall health of the pharmaceutical portfolio.-Collaborate on talent strategies including hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives to strengthen organizational capability and team engagement.-Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and performance coaching to cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team culture.-Represent the organization at industry conferences and events, actively building and maintaining a robust network of external partners and stakeholders.
Education, Experience, Behavioral Competencies, & Skills
-8+ years of progressive experience in the life sciences sector, with a strong track record in business development and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech drug development lifecycle; prior experience in Clinical Trial Operations, Drug Development R&D, and Oncology is highly preferred.-Bachelor’s degree in a business, life sciences, or related discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.-Proven ability to lead high-level presentations and facilitate strategic discussions with scientific and executive stakeholders, effectively translating complex needs into tailored solutions.-Demonstrated success in consultative selling within complex, solution-oriented environments, with the ability to navigate nuanced client needs and long sales cycles.-Experience conducting customer mapping, stakeholder identification, and competitive landscape analysis to inform go-to-market strategies and account planning.-Track record of cultivating and sustaining long-term, trust-based client relationships that drive repeat business and strategic partnership growth.-Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a confident presence in both internal and external engagements.-Adept at leading and collaborating across cross-functional teams, fostering alignment and consensus to drive results.-Highly self-driven and outcomes-focused, with a growth mindset and a commitment to delivering business impact.-Generous, Curious & Humble.
Travel Requirements 25% time required to travel to industry conferences or meetings with potential or existing partners.International travel is not required.
Pay InformationThe expected salary range for this position is $195,000 and $242,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. N-Power Medicine (NPM) offers equity at hire as well as a discretionary annual bonus which may be available based on Company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits.
