What this position entails

The HR Assistant will provide essential administrative and coordination support across the People Team, helping ensure that talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes run smoothly and consistently. This role partners with recruiters, talent and engagement team members, and hiring managers to deliver a positive candidate and employee experience through strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.

What you will be doing

Talent Sourcing & Recruiting Support

  • Assist with talent sourcing efforts by posting job openings, maintaining candidate pipelines, and supporting resume review activities under the guidance of recruiting partners
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews across candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams, ensuring timely communication and a seamless interview experience
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates for logistical questions related to interviews and next steps
  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Support

    • Support onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a smooth and welcoming transition, including coordinating first week onboarding and training schedules, documentation, and system access
    • Assist with department-specific onboarding requirements in partnership with the People Team and HR partners
    • Help submit employee change requests to the corporate HR team, such as job updates, supervisor changes, status changes, and location updates, as appropriate for the role
    • Administrative & Team Support

      • Maintain accurate and uptodate employee and candidate records across People Team systems and tools
      • Support People Team initiatives and projects by coordinating logistics, documentation, and communications
      • Assist with inbox management, scheduling, and general administrative tasks that help the People Team operate efficiently
      • What we need

        • 3+ years of administrative support experience in HR, recruiting, or People Team environments, with proven ability to assist multiple team members
        • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote) and familiarity with shared systems and standards
        • Strong organizational skills, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and basic project management, ensuring deadlines and tasks are met efficiently
        • Demonstrated integrity and discretion, understanding confidentiality and best practices for handling sensitive information

          • Location

            The expected application deadline for this job is April 30, 2026. The person hired in this role may work remotely out of the Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI area. Candidates hired for this position must be willing to travel to the Chicago, IL and Brookfield, WI offices as needed when the team is in town.

            This role will be a temporary - April/May 2026 - March 2027.

            Compensation

            The overall salary range for this role is $26 - $46 per hour.

            For candidates residing in:

            • Illinois salary range is $29 - $46 per hour.
            • Wisconsin salary range is $26 - $40 per hour.
            • A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. This is a non-exempt overtime eligible role; overtime eligible after 40 hours of work.
