WHAT YOU’LL DO:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director with a focus on Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading business development initiatives around GIS, managing a set of solutions based on our GIS capabilities, and serving as a Project Manager (PM) for K-12 school district demographics and enrollment projections. This role will also provide PM support during peak seasons and oversee the people management of a dedicated team.
In this role, you will:
Business Development
- Drive growth and innovation by developing new business opportunities around Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities.
GIS Management
- Oversee a segment of the Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities, ensuring efficient operation and alignment with business objectives.
K-12 School District Demographics and Enrollment Project Manager
- Manage multiple K-12 demographics enrollment and projection projects
People Management
- Lead and nurture a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
SaaS Client Training
- Conduct proprietary software training sessions with clients to ensure comprehensive adoption of the tool.
Conference Participation
- Actively participate and represent MGT in related conferences.
New Staff Training
- Design and deliver training programs for new employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and alignment with company values.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, geography, demography, or a related field.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in urban planning or related fields.
- Proven experience in people management and GIS technical skills.
- Proficiency in school district student forecasting.
- Exceptional soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and leadership.
- Knowledge of housing development research, school rezone planning, or enrollment forecasting is advantageous.
- Passion for creating positive change in public schools and communities.
