Company Overview

Mesa is on a mission to make homeownership more affordable and rewarding. Led by a world-class team of repeat founders and fintech operators from Uber, Amex, Robinhood, Capital One, Bilt Rewards, Cash App, Square, Zillow, and LendingTree, they are creating the homeowner membership category. Their platform gives real value back to consumers for the $8T in annual homeownership spend.

Homeowner membership offers exclusive benefits and rewards across mortgage originations, mortgage payments, warranty, insurance, HELOC, and more. Mesa is bringing credit card style membership to every financial product for your home.

The Role

We’re seeking a Capital Markets Lead to build and scale Mesa’s capital markets strategy from the ground up. You’ll develop funding channels, manage investor relationships, and execute structured finance transactions—including ABS, whole loan sales, and private placements.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll work directly with Mesa’s CEO and cross-functional partners across finance, legal, and product. You’ll shape how capital markets fuel our products and long-term growth as we expand access to innovative credit for homeowners.

This is an ideal opportunity for a capital markets professional who thrives in ambiguity, brings a strong investor network, and wants to build something enduring.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Design and execute Mesa’s capital markets roadmap, including warehouse lines, securitizations, and loan sale programs.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of institutional investor relationships (banks, funds, insurance companies, fintech lenders)
  • Lead investor engagement, including roadshows, diligence, and ongoing relationship management
  • Partner with internal teams to monitor credit performance and align capital strategy with product goals
  • Lead execution of ABS or whole loan transactions—structuring, modeling, negotiating, and closing
  • Develop investor materials, pitch decks, and data rooms that clearly articulate Mesa’s value and risk profile
  • Stay on top of market trends and provide strategic insights on pricing, investor appetite, and competitive benchmarks

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in capital markets, structured finance, or investment banking
  • Deep knowledge of ABS, securitizations, and structured consumer credit products
  • Existing relationships with institutional investors across public and private markets
  • Strong modeling and transaction execution experience, with a proven ability to lead deals end to end
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—you can confidently engage C-level investors and internal stakeholders alike
  • Independent, strategic thinker with a bias toward action and comfort in fast-paced, early-stage environments
  • Experience with homeowner or property-related lending products (e.g. HELOCs, mortgages) is a plus

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a startup or fintech environment
  • Exposure to credit card, mortgage, or personal loan financing strategies

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
  • Best in class health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Unlimited vacation policy

Location: NYC, Austin or Remote
