Guy Carpenter IT Product Support seek a talented Full-Stack Technical Lead with solid background in developing and supporting Single-Page Applications, Microservices, and Document-style databases. ideally who can also work out of our London office.

You will have responsibility for leading a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack applications.

You will also have the responsibility of leading a team of production support engineers and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of our applications.

You will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and hands-on expertise to the team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

What you need to have:

  • Extensive experience in Full-Stack development that includes Single-Page Applications, Microservices, and Document-style databases.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, plus experience in leading a team of developers.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with performance optimization and scalability techniques.
  • A passion for technology.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience in MERN stack development.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with React or any JavaScript framework, Node, MongoDB or NoSQL database.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes & Azure.

We will rely on you to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of MERN stack applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with the team to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and provide accurate estimates for project timelines.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide recommendations for architectural decisions.
