The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is in the midst of a wholescale transformation effort aimed at delivering a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. DAF is transforming elements of all phases of its human resource management (HRM) life cycle to meet their people demands.

ManTech will ensure that the DAF’s business processes and supporting information technology platforms fully empower DAF personnel and Guardians to maximize their abilities. Your work on the DTD team will help transform data and enterprise architectures, consolidate and modernize platforms, and integrate AI into human capital business processes.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator/ Engineer AWS- Data Infrastructure to join our team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Defines informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, data output and reporting capabilities.

  • Designs, develops, and implements database applications to accommodate a variety of user needs.

  • Builds data models using data modeler and write SQL queries

  • Performs system level database, performance monitoring, tuning and data infrastructure maintenance.

  • Manages Amazon Redshift DataWarehouse and RDS Databases in AWS cloud

  • Administers, maintains, develops, and implements the integrity, security, and availability of multiple database(s).

  • Maintains cyber security protocols and procedures in managing legacy government databases

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business

  • Must have 5+ years of relevant Amazon Redshift/RDS Datawarehouse management and administration

  • Administering Cloud databases including Replication, Backup/Restore procedures, Capacity Planning, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services

  • Recommending/implementing solutions for SQL performance monitoring and tuning

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently

  • Experience and knowledge related to source/change control, bug tracking, SDLC, and integration of Relational Databases

  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and/or sensitive materials

  • Preferred experience implementing and maintaining data warehouses and with working in cloud environments such as AWS

  • Preferred prior professional services or federal consulting experience

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time with occasional travel.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,200-$149,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
