Position:

Sales Development Representative

Position Summary:

Lumeris is a healthcare transformation company built on the belief that primary care is the foundation of a better healthcare system. Our AI-enabled platform, Tom is designed to fundamentally reshape how primary care operates — not incrementally, but structurally.

As we scale Tom as a standalone growth engine, we are entering a pivotal phase of enterprise expansion. You will be the first impression of Lumeris in the market, translating healthcare priorities such as access, workforce constraints, and panel scalability into relevant, compelling outreach.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a vital role in driving business growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients. The SDR focuses on strategic lead generation, conducting proactive outreach, and initiating meaningful conversations with decision-makers in healthcare organizations. Sitting on the Demand Generation team, you’ll turn top-of-funnel interest into qualified leads, serving as the critical first step in our sales process. You will operate as a strategic partner to Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), identifying high-value opportunities, initiating executive-level conversations, and helping advance complex healthcare sales cycles.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Outbound Prospecting: Execute highly targeted, insight-driven outreach across email, phone, and social channels to engage VP and C-level stakeholders within enterprise healthcare organizations.
  • Inbound Lead Qualification: Rapidly engage inbound interest (demo requests, content downloads, event leads), qualifying against ICP, strategic priorities, and readiness to evaluate Lumeris’ solutions. Drive high-quality conversations, not just volume.
  • Account & Stakeholder Mapping: Research and map complex healthcare organizations to identify key decision-makers, influencers, and buying committees. Expand coverage within target accounts to build multi-threaded opportunities.
  • Executive Engagement & Discovery: Initiate meaningful conversations that uncover business challenges (e.g., access, care gaps, workforce strain) and align them to Lumeris’ value. Position meetings as strategic discussions.
  • Pipeline Creation & Handoff Excellence: Generate high quality meetings with “Strategic, Technology, and Timing” criteria gathered. Coordinate seamless handoffs to RSDs, ensuring strong context, clear next steps, and high conversion potential.
  • CRM & Data Discipline: Maintain accurate, actionable data in Salesforce and SalesLoft to provide visibility into pipeline health, activity effectiveness, and account progression.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to refine messaging, improve targeting, and elevate outreach effectiveness. Actively contribute to continuous improvement of the SDR function and workflows.
  • Market & Industry Intelligence: Develop a strong understanding of healthcare trends (AI in care delivery, value-based care, workforce challenges) and competitor positioning to inform outreach and conversations.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in Sales Development, Business Development, or Inside Sales
  • Experience selling into enterprise organizations with 1+ years sales cycles (in healthcare or SaaS is a bonus but not required)
  • Proven ability to engage VP and C-level stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research and synthesize a health system’s top priorities and articulate, at a high level, how our solutions align to and support those initiatives.
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and sales engagement platforms such as SalesLoft
  • Proficient with prospecting tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.)

About You

  • Highly driven, resilient, accountable, and results-oriented
  • You can articulate your past successes with the numbers to back them up
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of discipline to manage multiple campaigns in parallel
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
